Jinx is looking for his Furrever home!
06 June 2017
Jinx is big handsome Tabby cat (9 years young) who is looking for a very special new home. Jinx is a super cuddly and affectionate boy who loves attention and purrs loudly in appreciation. Jinx is good with children and generally an all-round super cat!
So why is Jinx still here in our adoption centre?
It was discovered on a routine vet check in September 2016 that Jinx has a mass on his kidney, this was confirmed on an ultrasound examination. We have been monitoring Jinx closely whilst in our care and he seems to act as any other happy healthy cat, eating and drinking normally.
As Jinx is currently showing no clinical signs of being unwell, it wouldn’t be fair to Jinx to put him through operations and further investigations. He does have a slight increase in SDMA on his blood results taken in March 2017, this can be an indication that his kidneys are not functioning as well as they should be.
We don’t know what the future holds for Jinx, his life span may not be as long as a “normal” cats, but what we do know is Jinx is currently craving a new home and someone to love him for however long he has (which could be years?)
If you are interested in adopting Jinx our vet would be happy to discuss his medical history with you in more detail.
If you think you could offer Jinx the perfect home please call reception on on 01428 604297 for more information.
